- What does TUG mean?
TUG or tug stand for tie-up game. Essentially, it's any type of game where getting tied-up is a big - if not the most important - part of it.
- Aren't TUGs bondage?
Yes and no. We refer to these tie-up activities as TUGs to emphasize the entertaining and pleasant part of them; they do have a dominance/surrendering aspect to them. TUGs are definitely, from our point of view, NOT mixed with inflicting/receiving pain, which would be BDSM; this site is definitely NOT about this. TUGs do not carry a sexual connotation - they are more innocent, so to say. Though some of the stories depict some cruel restraints and some devious villains, as in lots of comics, series, novels in which the villains are very evil and the heroes very brave, we'd like to have some stories in which characters have fun playing, though it might be rough-play also. But between willing players.
- Isn't it kinky and hence bad?
There are people that enjoy playing cards or chess; others like bungee-jumping or sky-diving; some just like tying up and getting tied up. As long as it is consensual and hurts nobody, there's no ethical problem with it. It may make for fun role-plays and a good adrenaline rush; as in all games, you have to follow the rules. (See the safety page and the dedicated safety thread on the forum).
As for the stories, we also hope that most will clearly be seen as fiction, and that our discriminating readers make the difference between reality and fiction.
